Microsoft Office Live Websites Transitions to Office 365

Attention all Microsoft Office Live Website users.
Microsoft Office Live websites are now being transitioned over to Office 365. Many of you are getting emails about the mandatory move. This has upset many website users who have their websites hosted at Microsoft Office Live (Melbourne). The reasoning is because Microsoft hosting was a free service and all we had to do is pay for our yearly custom domain name renewal. Now they are making this transition to office 365 and going to be charging each website user an additional $6 or more a MONTH for hosting their website. Plus, we will need to pay for the normal domain name renewal. At first, I didn't worry too much about it because I figured they would offer free transitioning so that beginner website owners didn't have to manually transfer all their files, images, contacts, email ect.. But no they say that every thing must be manually transferred by the Administrator or owner of the website. This is bad news for people like myself who have close to a hundred website pages and thousands of email contacts. A lot of website work is in store for myself and many others.

So instead of transferring all website content and email files over to Office 365 and paying a lot more a year for hosting, I am going to be transferring my Office Live Websites over to a more affordable hosting company. I will be using Siteground Hosting where it is only $9.95 a year (special I am offering) instead of $6 a month which equals an additional $72.00 a year plus domain name renewal. If any Microsoft Office Live Website owners want to follow me and transfer your website contents to a new hosting company and need help, I am going to be offering my transfer and website help services for a reasonable fee. Considering we will have to transfer our websites no matter what or lose them.

First of all, I would like to tell everyone that it is nice to see everyone still following my Website Help blog. I have been very busy with trying to make money online, website development and of course social media optimization research.

I was flipping through the channels on DIRECT TV CHARLOTTE and landed on the SOAP Network. I started watching one of my old favorite shows and three hours later, I found myself still watching them! I absolutely loved the show “Beverly Hills: 90210” when I was a kid. It was so much fun. It was the perfect amount of teen age drama. Any and all problems got solved within the hour. I also had crushes on Dylan and Brandon. To guys with totally different styles, but I loved them! I have been looking for the DVDs for the shoe forever and have never been able to track them down. I was just so excited and couldn’t believe that the reruns were playing on the SOAP network! Now, I know exactly what I am going to be doing on rainy days off. I am going to be curled up on the couch and watching Donna, Kelly, Brenda, Brandon, and Dylan! I am going to have to call my sister and let her know about this, she is going to love it and want to upgrade her television package asap.

I wasn't so sure if I wanted to partake in this, but when my daughter told me that the only way she would go trick or treating this year would be if I dressed up in a matching costume with her. At first I thought that she was joking, but she clearly wasn't. I didn't want my 6-year-old to miss out on something as fun as trick or treating so I agreed and started figuring out what she should dress up as.
I used our wireless internet to look up some ideas about what exactly I should make and I came up with the ideas to make us mummy costumes because it would also be funny to be a mommy mummy.
So far these costumes aren't too difficult, especially because I have a sewing machine. If I didn't have one of those, it might be considerably harder. I decided that sewing strips of white fabric (old bed sheets, actually) would be much easier if it's just on to leggings instead of pants. That way it's also cheaper too. I think this Halloween is definitely going to be a success.

I remember when the first Ghostbusters movie came out. I'm pretty sure that my husband and I went out to see it on a date. It was one of those rare times when our kids were young that we actually left them under the supervision of a babysitter so we could go for a romantic dinner and a movie together. Well, we both ended up loving it and it's still one of my favorite movies to this day. So one of the first things that I thought about when we started planning a fall trip to New York City is that we should go and see the firehouse from the movie!

I went online to find some more information and see if it still even exists. While I was reading through some blogs about it, I stumbled across the site http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com/. After I looked through it a little bit, I decided to sign up for a hearing aid test. I'm going to take one next week and might get fitted with some hearing aids before our big trip.

Many of you have probably at one time wondered what makes a good website.

1. Design- The design of a website must look good. If it is a business website, it must look clean and professional. A business website should have a calm web design and not look too flashy. Now if you are building a fun or gaming website, you can have flash and lots of color.

5. Adds social interaction- A good website will add social tools to their websites so that it makes their visitors interact on the website. Adding Facebook and Twitter social buttons is a great way to get your website visitors to interact with your site and stay longer.

Hi Website Help Blog Followers. I know it has been a long time since my last post. I did want to get back into the groove of blog posting so my topic for this post is e-commerce website help. I have built many websites in the past and one of the websites that I haven't built much of is an e-commerce website that has it's own shopping cart. I do have a shopping website, but my shopping website is an affiliate shopping website. It is not an e-commerce website that has it's own shopping cart features and payment processing procedures. This type of website of mine will come in the future.

The reason I haven't yet tackled this type of website is because of one, I haven't had any clients needing this type of website yet. I have made gaming websites, business websites and real estate websites. The second reason why I haven't made an e-commerce website for myself is because of the MUST HAVE shopping cart that comes with making a eCommerce website.

I do want to introduce to everyone who is interested in building a e-commerce website some great tools that you will need to build a successful e-commerce website. There are many shopping websites and having a SEO Shopping Cart will allow your website visitors to stay on your shopping site and not go to a competitors site to buy what they want. That is the down fall for my shopping website, is that I don't yet have a checkout and shopping feature that will allow my site visitors to stay on my site. I earn by affiliate commissions and by advertiser clicks. When I get paid by my website help clients, I use my Pay Pal "buy now" buttons to receive payment. Creating websites is what I have been up to lately. To be able to provide the website help that is needed, I have to explore many different websites and website hosting companies. The best way to learn website development and web design is to get online and start making websites. My niece and I was watching "America's got talent" the other night and she asked me "What is your talent?" I shrugged my shoulders and said "I don't know." I just changed the name of this blog!
Before this blog was called shopwithtammyonline.blogspot.com, I just changed it to http://helpwithyourwebsite.blogspot.com. I was noticing that my blog posts were not revolved around my Shopping website but it was more directed to my Help website. I started this blog when I was very new to blogger and didn't know exactly what I was going to blog about. I made a mistake and named it wrong.

I am not sure how the name change will affect my blog traffic, so learn from my mistake. Make sure you plan the name of your website and blog out before naming it or creating it. Due to the name change of this blog, my google rankings will most likely drop because of the fact that there is no longer a shopwithtammyonline blogspot. I hope none of my followers punish me for my mistake. I am admiting this name change to you to help those who plan to make more blogs. Do your blog research and learn from other people's mistakes.

It has been about a month since I have posted anything on this blog because I have been busy working on websites. One website that I would like for everyone to take some time and view is Marine Electronics Review.com. I have helped Greg produce content for his website, place keywords, meta-tags and descriptions on his web pages and now I am helping him with his ranking, and website advertising. His website has information on Marine Electronics and has some helpful resource links and reviews. Like I have stated in my help website, you need to expose your website to get traffic to it. Another thing that I have decided to do is re-design my shopping website. Okay so I am experimenting with my blog and I need my followers advice. Me asking you for help? I am sopose to be helping you right? Well here is the deal, I am a left handed person. Growing up, my mom always told me that I looked awkward doing simple every day things. I am curious if my blog only looked good before to me because I am left handed? I have changed it a little bit because I want my followers and readers to enjoy their time at my blog. Is it easier to read now? Should I change it back to where my profile picture and followers are on the right side?

I have heard that making an easy to read and follow blog will help with blog traffic. What do you think? Are the colors okay to you? For all of my followers who already have a website, you may need to read this helpful post to see if you have chosen the correct domain name for your web site. Having more than one website is also recommended. So you can apply the steps below to your future website(s).

Choose the correct website domain by choosing the correct Website Niche or topic!
Think of what you want your website to be about. Ask your self what you enjoy doing. When I chose my website domain name of http://helpwithyourwebsite.com, I was in the process of making my shopping website that has the domain name of: http://www.shopwithtammyonline.com. I kept running into problems with my shopping website and needed a lot of help on my Microsoft office live website. I thought to myself that it would be wonderful to have a website to turn to for help. That is when my new website domain name idea was create. I realized that I loved working on websites and I also knew that people were searching for answers on how to complete certain tasks on their OfficeLive websites.
When choosing your domain name, you need to include a keyword that people will use to search for your website. Such as: Help website! My main keyword phrase is "help website" or "website help". I have included both keyword phrases into my website domain name.
Create your website around your domain name. It would of been silly of me to choose: http://helpwithyourwebsite.com and then create my pages about dogs, cats or cars. That is why my content is written to help other website owners with their sites.
Choose a domain name that isn't going to be a big competition! If you choose a large topic or domain name for your website, then you will have to make an outstanding large website to beat your competitors. If you are a beginner website developer, then I highly suggest you picking a small website niche and domain name. If you want your website to be found in the search engines, then you need to narrow your options down to a certain subject. If you like cars and know a lot about them, you should pick a certain type of car to make your website about. Instead of your domain name being: http://cars.com it should be for example: http://chevytahoe.com. Those are just examples and I am not sure which websites the prior links will take you to if clicked on.

Hello To all of my followers and friends. I decided to share with you my earnings from my websites and articles to help motivate you. I also wanted to say Thank-you for all of the support that I have had from all of you. My help website has became pretty popular and my shopping website is hanging on barely. This shows the importance of picking out the right website niche. Also, I wanted to point out to everyone that I have been working on my help website and neglecting my shopping site. So with that said, that is why my earnings are coming from Help with your website and not ShopwithTammy.

I have also been pretty active on ehow so my earnings are starting to add up. For those who are unaware of what ehow is then I will tell you that it is a wonderful writing website where you can earn from your simple "how to articles." You can view my articles here if you want to see more about the website. I have been a member there for almost 5 months now and I just love it. I have written a total of 82 articles, not counting the ones that they removed and I have earned $91.60. I will provide a screen shot of my earnings below to show you the details for each month of earnings.

The image above shows that in my first month at ehow, I earned $8.49. It was a slow month and it took ehow nearly 30 days to post my earnings. I was just getting the hang of everything and slowly found out the method of making money. If you write at ehow and need to know some tips to help you earn, then you can contact me anytime.

My Google adsense earnings have been okay and can definetly use some help lol. I am on my second cashout and I have my account set to cash out when my earnings reach $100. My google adsense earnings come from my Help Website and I can also earn from my shopping website. I have made around $270 total with adsense within a few months of working online. My goal is to have more help pages available and of course earn a lot more. It would be very nice to earn $200 a month on both ehow and adsense but we will see. It all depends on how much time and work I put into promoting and writing.

Add a favicon to your Office Live Website!

What is a favicon? Do you see the little icon (picture) that is up on your address bar when you view a webpage? It is short for "favorite icon." Go Ahead look up and see if blogger has the orange favicon at the top. I was contacted by a website owner on "how to add a icon to his officelive website?" I knew it could be done, but didn't realize how hard it actually was to do.

After researching and trying different things for nearly 6 hours, I finally completed the task of adding a favicon to my website. I used a small screen shot image of my help website for my favicon. I have now completed a help page on my website to show all of my followers and website owners how to do the exact same thing.
It will be much easier for you then me, since I did all the trial and error lol.

What is a scroll box used for? You can use a scroll box to display lists of products for sale, helpful tips for your viewers, links to articles or important web pages!

Using a scroll box in your site adds interactivity for your visitors! This will help your visitors view key products on your site. If you have a shopping site, you can add a list of "sale" or clearance items. If you have an article website, you can show off your top articles via a scroll box. If you have an office live website, you can also add a scroll box to your site!

For an office live site, many of you may need to follow the iframe method of inserting the scroll box. If you are able to just copy and paste the provided html code, than please let me know. Wow...I got my first paying customer!

Hello Everyone! Did you guys miss me? I spent a whole week celebrating my birthday......just joking...I wish lol! I have been so busy lately. I finally received my first paying customer....Yep you heard me right, I got paid to build someone else's website. It isn't completely finished yet and I do plan to finish it.....It was an interesting experiment for me, his website had a completely different website host. I am so use to working on and with Office Live Websites that this project really consumed my time, energy and insanity lol! It was one of those simple projects that gets me confused by the simplicity of it! Only one web-page and I took 2 full days to half way complete it....errrr! If you end up viewing my first paid for website, please keep in mind that the customer submitted confusing directions at first that threw me way off and I turned a small project into a huge dramatic project.....That's just me though lol.....I stress about little things!

I never knew that my help website would actually turn into a money making site! As I stated before, my intentions was to help others! Getting paid to help others is a big plus for me! Hi, how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is progressing well with their websites. Many of us website owners turn into webaholics lol! I am constantly working on my websites, practice makes perfect and dedication makes success. I hope everyone is starting to make some good money from their websites.

Even if you are making zero to little income, don't give up....you got to picture the future! What will your online income be in the future? Your hard work will eventually pay off. I was checking out tweeter just minutes ago and saw a man's adsense earnings of $830 some a day....Yeah, can you believe that in a day this guy makes $830 with google adsense.

I don't know if it is the complete truth, because he wanted me to pay for his "secret adsense tips" but his earnings page sure looked real to me. Can you guys imagine making $830 a day with your google accounts? Wow, I am still in shock lol! Seeing this site really motivated me even though I am not sure if he was telling the truth or not. I don't think I would be telling my secret if I made that much lol! If anyone checks into this site and finds out that it is a true story....PLEASE CONTACT ME lol. Don't worry...I am not trying to get you to check it out...so that I get any referral commision because I don't get anything. I don't even know this person....I sure wish I did though. He is probably breaking the rules....Or has 2000 popular websites lol.

How to get an amazing amount of targeted visitors to your website? Many small website owners have a very difficult time getting visitors to their websites. Why? Okay already, here it is: Recently I have signed up to a very helpful advertising website. That website had me build an AD for my website. After building my AD and following the step by step procedure, (very easy) this helpful advertising company started me out with a $20 free advertisment budget.

Welcome to my blog spot....Directed to all new followers! For those of you who have already been following me via my blog posts, know that I am just like you and many other web site owners: We are Learning as we go! We are not yet absolute pro's on web development. We do however have some very nice websites, great information, tips and advise to share with each other. I have neglected my "Shop with Tammy" website, every since my help website has bloomed. My goal is to include my poor little shopping website in my every day tasks. Maybe I will work on it today and better the web design. My shopping website was one of my first websites and I wasn't as dedicated to it as I am to my recent and more successful website. Today I thought that I would blog about my recent activities online. The other day, I mentioned article writing.

I just wanted to share with you one of my article's that I wrote. This was an important article to me because the topic is a touchy subject: Is Mountain Dew addictive? I was reading the arguements about this topic and I soon found my little fingers typing away.....as my mind was racing with anger lol!

Wow...what a fun couple of days!

Wow...I never knew work could be so much fun! I was recently invited to some article writing websites... (Thanks Emma)! I had to pry myself away from the websites at 5:00am this morning.

In the past I have recieved emails about getting paid to write articles...I just figured it was a big get rich thing that really only benefited the website owners. I figured the paid article emails were similiar to the "get paid to read emails" scam.

Well good news, there is a few ligit article writing websites out there! I haven't seen any cash yet...I just applied yesterday. I have however, gained exposure to around a hundred new friends who have viewed my help website. This is worth $100 to me if not more because I got free advertisement to my help website. I have been contacted via messages that viewers want to pay me to help build their websites. This is exciting news to me because like I have stated in the past, my intentions are to help other website owners. If I get paid to help others, that is a big bonus for me!

Hello everyone again....This is going to be a little more relaxed blog post!

I have been busy working away at my websites and helping website owners along the way.
I recieved an email from a very eager website owner a couple days ago! She was a fun person to help. She kept deleting her website pages everytime she messed up...She must of deleted her pages like three different times because she was trying to get her ads up and running. Finally, I realized she didn't know how to delete an image. I quickly emailed her and stated "Use the delete key on your keyboard". I didn't want her to keep deleting her website pages.....LOL.

This goes to show everyone, how anxious a person may get....She kept making more work for herself....Bless her for her hard work on trying to get her website ads up! (She has a degree in English, but not in computers)

Emma if you are reading this blog post then I apologize for the laughter....You are a very smart woman.....you just need to slow down lol!

It is great to have laughter and friends in a work environment....This is a message to all website owners who are in the process of building their websites....KEEP IT FUN! Don't get wrapped up on the....I got to do this and complete this and email this person ect.....take your time and go with the flow!
Building websites can get very stressful at times, so just relax and enjoy the work that you do!

I was recieving some emails from website owners who were having problems with their displayed search engine results. I decided to build a page called fix your website pages search results!

To be able to fix the description of your website or webpages that are displayed in search results.....you need to rename your website page titles. Search engines crawl your website to gather information to display on their search results. Remember to optimize your website with keywords, and metatags.

For officelive users, I have built a step by step instuction guide on my help website showing you how to rename your webpages with out deleting them. This will speed up the crawling of your website....it helps the search engines to see the words and descriptions via your website.

TIME IS MONEY.....THIS BLOG POST IS INTENDED TO HELP MYSELF AND OTHERS TO REMEMBER TO CALCULATE THEIR TIME THEY SPEND HELPING OTHERS!

Recently, I have been recieving loads of emails by users who need help with their website(s). This is great news....I love to help others and also I enjoy seeing other website owners helping others.

Along with the many emails requesting help, I have also recieved emails from website owners who want me to not only give free tips and advice about website building.....but they also seem to give up and just want me to do the work for them for free.....With me being as helpful as I am, I have done this a few times "free of charge"......I have spent hundreds of hours helping others!

This has made me realize that my time is money and we all need to make money. Ok I have a question for dreamweaver website users: Is dreamweaver like microsoft officelive? Please keep in mind that I usually build my websites thru officelive, so I know how to add google adsense ads to officelive websites. I have however been contacted by a website owner who is using dreamweaver and is following my google adsense html placement guide.

I am not completely sure if this will work for him because I have never used dreamweaver for my websites.

I am looking for help to be able to help somebody else place google ads via their dreamweaver website. If you are aware of how to add google adsense html to dreamweaver, please share your knowledge via my help forum.

Good Evening viewers!
My plan totally changed today when it came time to work on my websites, I received a very helpful and generous email from another website owner seeking help. (Thank-you). He suggested that I should add a help forum to my website. He and I both agreed it would be a great addition and help for my help website. I just love it when others "help me to help them"! By the way, if any one knows of any way to add a scroll box to your officelive website......Please let me know so I can spread the word to others.

Ok for those of you who didn't already know, Microsoft officelive doesn't provide a forum page template for your website. So, I was able to use my skills LOL, to embedd or insert a help forum template from another website. I had to copy, paste, upload and configure the advanced features on my website to be able to do this. I am so proud of myself....LOL!

I am waiting for some posts now from my help forum.......I am anxious to help somebody!

Hi again to everyone! I was so excited yesterday to see all the followers that are joining my website or I should say blog, that I couldn't sleep last night....I am still awake typing away lol! I am however getting very sleepy, so if there is any typos that is why! Thank-you all very much for the support and motivation.

It's me Tammy! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe fourth of July.
I am in the process of building my links page on both of my websites. I have recieved some reliable link exchanges so far and I am in search for more. Some of you may be asking: What is a link exchange? Well let me tell you, a link exchange is where two websites exchange their website addresses....or urls. They each post the link onto their links page and drive more traffic to their websites.

Reliable link exchanges are important to all websites. The search engines, such as google, msn, aol, yahoo ect.... can tell which websites are more popular with the amount of reliable links. For example: If I have five different websites that display my website link and you have ten different websites that display your link, then the search engines can rate your website near the top of their search results. This example shows that your website is more popular than mine.
This however, does not mean that a website designer can just start placing a whole bunch of non-related links to their website and get ranked high with search engines.
Websites need to have related and reliable links on their website that link back to their website. This also gives readers more access to your website, therefore your website will be read more and then eventually ranked high.

Website Ideas and how to make money off of them!

There are many different website ideas and there are several different ways to make money off of your website.

Business websites: Making a business website is where you create a website related and revolved around your business. Let's say you have a daycare and you would like more clients, or you would like to be able to post your rules, handbook and schedule online. You would build a website about your daycare....you would include your schedule on one page and your main "home" page would be designed around the name of your daycare. You would want to make your home page very simple, short and attractive. You would also have another page that displayed your rules and regulations. Your contact us page would have your contact information: Name, telephone number, address, and email address. Or if you would like, instead of your email address you can have a contact us form right there on the page.
Another example of a business website is: Let's say you have a photography studio and would like to display your work via the internet. You would then build a website about your photography business. You would most likely have a page called "about us" this is where you would describe information about you and your business. You would also like to have a page called "photo gallery" or "Our work samples", this will be a page where you post your photographs and work that you have done. See the main pages page to view more important pages needed for your business website.
Having a business website is helpful to you because it is a way of advertising your business. This leads to more clients and customers, which then leads to more money and business for you.

Affiliate websites: Making an affiliate website means that you would make a website that advertises other websites or products. You need to first think of which websites and products you want to promote, or advertise for. You may also want to make a website about dogs. If this was the case you would probably want to monetize by being an affiliate at petco or other dog stores. Here is an example of an affiliate website. An affiliate website allows you to pick and choose different stores online that you would like to be an advertiser for. After your website is made, you then want to sign up at different places as an affiliate. This way you are able to make money off of your website. If you find a good website that you enjoy shopping at, then you can usually find an affiliate page on their website. (This is usually located at the very bottom of websites) You can go to their affiliate page and sign up as an affiliate. You can then start refering others to their website by using the marketing tools that they supply. Marketing tools are banners and links that have html code that you place on your website. After placing the banners on your website, your customers then click on them to be directed to the website that you promote or are affiliated with. You then recieve a commision on each sale that occurs from your website. In the html banner codes that you place on your website, there is a tracking code that is used to show where the customer was directed from.
